Every time we submit for a grant, we hold our breath. We know that they are highly competitive and difficult to land but believe that maybe this one will be the one. As the months pass we go about our work quietly to not waste attention upon a process we hold no power. But as always when the decision is made we come in a close finalists without the awards. Such is the reality of making a film. We continue to charge ahead with our own pocket books, some supporting friends and a few progressive firms who donated before the crash!

During a conversation tonight with new team member, Laura Cavaliere the topic of the junk rafts came up.  This is insane and amazing!
