Over 3000 years ago the Christian’s created a series of tunnels and caves to hide from the Roman Army. These caves still exist today in the Cappadocia region of Turkey. I can only imagine what these structures looks like from the inside. Imagine living in an architecture that is so old and so much a part of the earth.
I’ve always wandered how long ago each black dot fell from someone’s mouth to a city sidewalk. Image the number of steps each one of those things takes and yet they are still resilient. How long could they possibly last - five, ten, twenty years or decades longer? We could be stepping on the gum of famous New Yorkers everyday like an East Coast version of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Personally, I feel the lesson learned from this is that we need to drastically change the footprint of our food demand. A day is coming where there will be no more green bandaids available and people will actually have to change their individual lifestyles.
