Interesting article about a mid-rise housing complex in Brooklyn and its pending transition into a lower density building form. Jencks professed the demolision of Pruitt-Igoe a similar building type in ‘72 the death of modernism but New York City’s Housing Authority is only now beginning to learn from its udder demise. Just imagine the number of people impacted by this failed urban design and architectural solution to housing the masses… back when architects turned to the darkside.
